Our expertise are in the areas of Strain Improvement, media optimization, bioprocess technology, purification, whole cell immobilization  and biotransformation. Recently TCL RESEARCH has scaled up a bioprocess and biotransformation step from lab scale to pilot scale for the manufacture of chiral product.

Strain Improvement

Expert Team of microbiologists and molecular biologists are involved in the areas of strain development and improvement. Both classic mutagenesis and recombinant strain improvement methods are used to generate strains that overproduce enzymes and other proteins/secondary metabolites of commercial interest. With very efficient bioprocess development programme the hyperproducers are scaled up at a very faster pace to commercial levels

Media formulation & optimization

Expert team of scientists determine the best available medium and experiments are carried out on an empirical basis. The teams use latest techniques and are able to scale up the media modifications using the hyper producers to commercial scales within very short period.

Bioprocess development

TCL Research develops a seamless transformation of in-house methodology combined with state of the art technology that results in successful development, optimization and scale-up of bioprocesses, useful for the production of biological molecules. It also continuously aims at developing new biotechnological products.

Process optimization

The team comprising of biochemical engineers and biotechnologists optimize the various process at the commercial scale. Using the state of art technology various bioprocesses are monitored very closely and systematically. The internal systems are as per the ICH guidelines.

Immobilization

A team of scientists at TCL Resarch has developd a proprietary process for whole cell immobobilization for which a patent application is in progress.
